If the sun doesn’t shine for days here in the upper Midwest, ‘caked’ is an understatement. 4-6" of ice and salt will actually hamper suspension travel. Spray off a couple hundred pounds of ice and salt in a wash bay?

At one point this badge was only on jeeps that were equipped to traverse a particular part of the Rubicon Trail, which was supposedly duplicated boulder by boulder at the Chelsea test center. How diluted the badge has become is the question.

The road doesn’t actually stay salty/wet 24-7. So I pick a period that’s going to be dry for a few days and rinse with as hot of water as I can get. Oxidation that actually damages needs time so keeping layers of salt from building up adds years to the life any car
