The 2 year old does not “need” his own room. Your kids can share a room, you don’t need to move to a three bedroom apartment.

The degree to which the chaebol dominate the Korean economy, to this day, is astounding. Imagine, if you will, that the only corporations in the US were the Fortune 500 (both publicly and privately held), and that everything was a subsidiary of one of them. Think of your life/family like a business. There is a such thing as sitting on too much cash rather than “deploying it” to better use, such as investment or education. Companies maintain good credit, in part, so they don’t have to hoard cash — and banks are willing to lend to them during lean times. Back to the 401k…
