Yep, that sounds extremely familiar!

This is especially useful on particularly idiotic cars like early North American Range Rovers, which have a fun mix of imperial and metric hardware.

Proud of you.

Remove dash, v-groove out cracks with dremel tool, melt plastic welding rod into grooves, sand smooth, solvent wipe, recoat with texture paint, knock back again with fine sandpaper, tack cloth, topcoat.

“The First-Ever BMW iX.”

Welcome!

I miss the good Jalopnik comment sections.

There are two weirdly immaculate 2-door examples just a few houses down from me. Someone loves the hell out of the second-gen Blazer, and I support them.

I realize it’s just a teaser, but you know it’s gonna be bad when BMW won’t show the grilles in their entirety.

Yeah...

It’s awesome to have good options for adding modern tech without having to install a laser light show-looking aftermarket stereo. iSimple seems to make a bunch of good stuff.

I think I’ve got a spare E30 radio if you want one. Does your car have the manual external fader knob? (Not sure if that was a thing on all of them.)

Oh - one thing to note is that there’s a FLIMSY connection in the wiring on the little remote, so handle with care. No problem if you know about it, but you don’t want to do what I did and accidentally hulk out and tear it apart because it’s too delicate to really repair.

I’ve got one of these, which takes a little more to install as it needs to be wired in and plugged inline with the radio antenna feed, but the sound quality is outstanding (and your cassette deck pulley belts can have disintegrated over 30 years without impeding its function. It also adds discrete hands-free calling.

I... hope I never have to sell it, because I could never afford to get another one.

Well, Guy Who Doesn’t Know Me At All, thanks for your input, I guess.

The roller on the back for loading lumber and other building materials is enough to get me to seriously consider one. It’s officially a contender with a foldable utility trailer.

They’re not going to drop it. It was developed by Getrag especially for this vehicle with a dogleg crawler gear that gives it more than a 94:1 final ratio.

If Toyota were a British company the name would make much more sense, as the car does look quite cross.
