I’m a big proponent of just waiting a year. It’ll be $30, and (hopefully) will have benefited from some patches.

I own one in central Texas, which probably seems stupid, but on the other hand I don’t have to worry about rust, I can still at least thrash it when it rains, and there’s always Rally Ready Driving School.

Eh, only 143 lbs over a same-year 325is, so also not really that heavy.
Here’s the thing with the E30: It’s lightweight, comes in a manual, is either all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive and parts for it are reasonably abundant.
Ok now do the best ones so I can get these nightmare images out of my head.
Next time you’re in San Antonio, make your way to Schilo’s. They’ve been making it the same way for 100 years and it’s my personal favorite, bumping St. Arnold’s to a well-earned 2nd place and Abita to 3rd.
