I predict that all of the titans will have a much more veiny/armored appearance to make them look more generically cool (to sell action figures) and to make them look less like naked super-deformed chibi demon children/middle-aged men.

The comics were quite good. The Injustice story mode itself was okay but it sort of fizzles out at the end.

The plots in Hero, Crouching Tiger, and House of Flying Daggers were all fantastic. Just because plots in fight-centric movies are usually not a priority it doesn’t mean we can’t do better.

I’ll agree with you there. And yeah, SF isn’t much for narrative. I hope that in the future more fighting games tackle plots in addition to story. Because let’s be honest, despite being novel, MK9's actual story was pretty bad. MKx’s was almost worse. The best examples of narrative in fighting games are still pretty

Fighting games have always had stories. Street Fighter 2 has more story than most first-person shooters.

Good story is about character more than anything else. All of the win quotes and the animations and attacks bring out the personality of the characters, which is frankly more memorable than 90% of the

Still less segregated than New York state.

Using threatening cartoon ghosts to represent online gamers feels pretty accurate.

That Octopath game better be about someone who can talk to octopuses.

Yes, because selecting the character you want is part of the game. Forcing a random selection is a rule imposed from the outside. It’s like the difference between winning at paper rock scissors 100% of the time and losing 100% of the time when playing blindfolded. It’s a different ruleset and therefore comparisons are

I hope this is good. I’ve been wanting a game like this for ages.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate E. Honda? He’s the most (and only) iconic sumo character in all of gaming. When you think about how Japanese the gaming industry is (and used to be) that’s pretty amazing. A little kabuki makeup sure goes a long way.

That show is a treasure trove.

Obvously Torbjorn built Genji’s body. That’s why he has dat booty. Torb modeled it after his own.

Dat neck.

As someone from the Deep South, this does not surprise me one bit.

Wow. These are all extremely expressive.

Overwatch is basically just Street Fighter with guns instead of martial arts and about 10% more lore, so it could work.

Glad to see some Celtic characters in a video game. I’ve always found it strange that they are so rarely used, given how video game-appropriate some of their powers are. (flaming swords, wind swords, the whole warp spasm thing, etc)

It’s a case of art imitating life I’m afraid.

They should have just made his hook a sentient Omnic hook that seeks out targets on its own. That way we can keep the impossible hooks that everyone loves and Roadhog gets another cute lil’ sidekick.
