The Sonic Universe comics were such a pleasant surprise. I'm really happy I took a chance reading them. And yes, I would say that #90 to about #130 are a big trough in the series. Reminder:

That issue is from #175 from the main series. A really dark and disturbing arc, Eggman at his worst really.
