I didn’t realize that Disney had turned film production over to the MCP. Makes sense. With the information they can access, Studio Executives can run things 900 to 1200 times better than any human.

Gareth Edwards is not Zach Snyder, that’s ridiculous. Monsters was a terrific film. Godzilla...not so much. I was much more interested in what Gareth was going to do with this one-shot than the next major installment, precisely because it could be less overengineered by play-it-safe execs.
