I agree, but as an oldster who’s been around the internet for awhile I also think premium social media just could never be priced in a way that makes it competitive with Facebook’s free version.

It’s very important that when we protest the actions of the wealthy elite ruling class that we do it in a way in which they always feel safe, secure, and comfy. Can’t have them shaken up or slightly inconvenienced in any way, that would be gauche.

That is happening with AppleTV’s streaming of Foundation. Viewers who aren’t familiar with the source books can enjoy the story. People who have read at least some of the books are shitting themselves about the mangled chronology and new characters.
