Well I’m insanely envious of what you got to see....

I legitimately thought that adult Ulrich and old Ulrich were the same actor just aged up. I didn’t believe it when I looked it up and saw that they were two different actors. I have no idea how they found three actors who share that distinctive nose, the chin, the brow, and the cheekbones.

Sounds like a great experience!  It wasn’t until you mentioned the B-52s though that I realized you meant Athens, Georgia, and not the Athens Olympics in 2004.

I was there, too, and the volleyball match between Germany (I think) and the Netherlands at the Omni was thrilling. They were evenly matched and there was no telling who might win. And it started at 8 in the morning!

I feel like the overlap between people who like both of these shows is probably very small, so come sit by me! Let’s be friends!

Can’t say enough about Dark. With all there is to watch on streaming/premium channels, I have watched this TWICE. And I want to watch it again for a third time.

I can vouch for Dark and Derry Girls. Both are very good. Be forewarned about Dark, though. It is complex and it is talky. It takes focus, not just to read the subtitles to the German but to untangle who is who among all the time travel. I made it through, but I also leaned heavily on online explainers to help fill in

Seconded. Derry Girls is fucking incredible.

Derry Girls is the funniest thing I have seen on TV in a very long time. Highly Recommend.

...it’s possible that once first-wave 4xe buyers get theirs, that demand will wane and the price hike will bite Jeep in the ass.

Just posted to make this bad joke - The effect is quite noticeable in the first shot, where it is clear that one boob is deefyyyyinng graaaaviityyyy....

It’s almost a perverse way of maintaining the pressure that Biles seems to be buckling under.

I had forgotten about that in Orphan Black—thank you.

Except that Princess Irulan actually is the narrator (or the pre-narrator) of much of the book. Most chapters start out with an excerpt from one of her many books on Muad’Dib.

It seems like she might be the framing narrator/device instead of Princess Irulan?

Good to know! I don’t mind multi-part movies, but I don’t like being surprised by them.

Exactly this. I was one of those kids, long ago. Yes, I loved soccer, and yes, I also went to the minor league men’s games mainly because my crush went to every game... but we went all out -- we painted our faces, brought trash cans to bang and vuvuzelas to honk (this was before the 2010 World Cup, we were ahead of

I’ll watch that Stanley Tucci Italy show.

Love that yellow dress! Thank you for bringing the sunshine.
