I used to be an officer in the U.S. Navy and worked on two nuclear submarines. Getting underway from “cold steel” in the engine room was an 12-18 hour process with valve and electrical switch lineups, reactor startup and warmup, then engine room warmup.

I think Matthew Rhys is a fantastic actor. Shea Wingham is also good and I like seeing him show up; he’s taken over the “I see that guy in everything, what’s his name?” role from William Fichtner. Tatiana Maslany is a goddess.
