I didn't like the episode at all, but I agree on Ackles. Truth is truth there.
For me the laughs ended where the roofie theme began. It was a good idea, ansd both Jared and Jensen were great, but these writers often fail to launch for me.

Actually, Dean would find those deaths just as important, and there's proof in canon. In "Folsom Prison Blues" after Sam complains about the victims being cons, Dean says "What are we, Texas?" not caring that men die because they did something bad. I think Dean would identify.
