I also preferred this week's episode. There just seemed to be more momentum, and the Bryan Cranston character was much funnier. I loved him going crazy at the end and blowing his brains out. It felt like more characters got to do more things and have more jokes this week.

Exactly. I even find it difficult and pointless to compare British or Australian comedy to American comedy, because they are so different in tone and have almost diametrically opposed senses of humour. Also anything from different eras/decades. Some of the best classic British comedies perhaps don't resonate as well

Equal with Louie, I would say. They are so different it's hard to compare, but they have the same high rate of laughs-per-episode and rewatchability value for me.

I want to lick his face and receding hairline.

I am hoping for a Kony-themed episode this season, too. As soon as that shit was all over the Internet my boyfriend and I commented that it would make perfect South Park parody fodder.

Dickie's hair was so beautiful. I loved how it was shaved short at the sides and then was a combination of mullet and mohawk everywhere else. That is not hair that has just grown wild out of laziness, he fucking cultivated that shit.

I can't believe we still haven't had any man ass from Timmy the Elephant. I know FX dowsn't mind showing it because of that American Horror Story crying-and-masturbating (tearjerking?) scene.

It seemed almost like it was a purposeful homage, I thought. But you're right, Bill Hicks' level of vitriol can never really be matched.

Randy's line to his dad about saving his retirement money had me laughing so hard I had to rewind and watch the scene again. And again.

But, overall, the episode was pretty average.
That part and Cartman's "suck my balls" song were great, though.

Stan's "kill yourself" tirade was so similar to Bill Hicks' tirade against people in marketing. I loved it.

Does anyone else feel like Adam Reed is referencing Chuck Palahniuk with Pam's back-stories? This one seemed like a nod to 'Rant' with the whole stealing-expensive-cars-to-race-and-smash thing. Then of course there is her Fight Club history.
