I just googled “explain trap queen.”

Because before them, in the middle-ages, you could only be privately educated. Then, they opened schools that were open to the public (although you had to pay). The “public” means open to anybody with the means to pay for it, not as in the modern sense. Free schools in the UK are just called “schools”.
Aren’t these, bizarrely, called “public” schools in the UK?
He’s the worst. Thank jesus that Anderson Cooper is there keeping this tight.
whoa hill, that jacket is one that would be warn in a comedy skit about china’s golden leader of the east or something.
I’m dodging in and out as I cook dinner so maybe I missed it but I didn’t see in there where?? Can you pull the quote?
Honestly, I’m Team Bernie and I feel the same way.
Bernie said “I don’t have a SuperPAC,” and I automatically, totally thoughtlessly, replied, “Oh, shut up.” I think I’m over the “I don’t have a SuperPAC” pillar of the Sanders campaign.
Oh fuuuuuuuck. Rubio and Cruz are not better than Trump. This whole idea that 8 years of Obama means we need 8 years of “some conservative” is deranged. We spent 8 years fixing the fallout from 8 years of Bush. 8 years of Cruz or Rubio is 8 years of rape victims having rape babies. 8 years of legal terror inflicted on…
I’m just hoping i’m able to complete my Ann Frank hidey hole in my attic for my Muslim friends before it’s too late
100% with you. Fuck Louis C.K. I love his stuff, but he’s dead wrong on this. With the exception of his views on choice and same-sex marriage, Obama has been a perfectly acceptable moderate Republican president by any standard prior to George I, even on healthcare, which came straight outta the Heritage Foundation.…
Louis then goes on to recommend Kasich as a sane candidate people should vote for — you know, super moderate Kasich who wants to make abortion a criminal act and was the initial named party in the case against same sex marriage that went to SCOTUS. Gah.
I have to conclude that when these people say “small government,” they mean in regards to making and handling money. Because otherwise they seem pretty intent on having a government that’s got its fingers all up in your personal life.
Our VP could be Joaquine Phoenix and the performance art will be complete.
Yeah the part re: 40% conservative, 40% liberal? WTF about the other 20%? When do we get a representative? I keep voting the Green Party candidates hoping to get some representation in government the way 80s/90s Germany managed to do.
But balance sounds so fair! It’s only right that we elect some folks to make our country a little bit better, and then give the other folks who want to make it worse a turn. We have to balance good public policy with bad! That’s just common sense.
All that stuff about how the Republicans need to get a chance to keep everyone balanced because everyone is different and it is beautiful is the worst most insufferable centrism ever.
I mean, this is mostly fine.
Really?
I disagree with him politically (the parties taking turns because that’s more fair than democracy? Come on) but I think this is an imminently sane assessment. I hope people read it. Maybe a non-political person can talk to Trump’s fanatics more effectively than some progressive wonk finger-wagging about their best…
