For as much as it is empty bullshit, I find her statement both steady and nice. I always respect people who can see the good in things, and not throw away everything about their ex.

So, the movie is deeply problematic on some gender level, but all the character have some highly WTF moments, and aren’t the nicest ones.

It gets me each and every time. I think I can watch that movie just because of her and Rickman. And maybe Martin Freeman.

Well, she is a bit chubby but I think the butt of the jokes what the fact that she isn’t fat and the one calling her that where dickheads.

I feel it’s more of an American thing not to like that, I don’t know why. The characters are all so awkward and aloof and not entirely likeable, it might be the reason. Or some cultural elements? I don’t know. I think it’s one of the best of the rom com genre.

It’s kinda sweet and off, but if you don’t like awkward moments, then... Skip it!
