@ysdarkfact: true, that and it was a terribly half-assed buggy port with the main feature being a co-op multiplayer component that relied heavily on Xbox Live to be successful.

lol, he thinks his game is high-end. The first gears PC I couldn't even figure out how to get a door open to make it through the tutorial thanks to its awesome intuitiveness and references to the xbox 360 pad in a fucking pc game. promptly deleted.

Create? No. Provoked? Yes.

you're right it does piss me off, GTA PC is irrelevant to PC gaming at large.

@Marlor: Actually at Gamestop they are all used so there should be no confusion, lol. Ive thrown open copies of games those fucks try to sell me at gamestop as *new* back in their faces saying I don't want open shit, how can you sell this as new? Its like walking into a grocery store and picking up an empty bag of

PC, voted none in lieu of it.

@ColdFury: My previous comment should have been direct at ColdFury, his analogies are right on the money. IMHO most people are out of line when they think they should be able to loan or share software (including music and movies) with family and friends.

@ColdFury: Exactly A.W.E.S.O.M.-O, IMHO places like Gamestop are the real pirates.

@photoboy: Bioshock took several weeks to crack.

Interesting read but I can't really agree with steam DRM being ok, I like steam but in the long run it's not nearly as good as having a physical copy no matter how restricted it is. The observation about "ownership" of games also seems somewhat misguided, when we buy a game or any piece of commercial software we are

@NKato: Ohh yeah, you mean all the sheeple falling victim to the pir8's social engineering?

What all the people bitching about Spore DRM fail to realize (unlike Doug and I) is that it is in place to slow piracy at, and before, the initial release.

Man, I really don't appreciate these MMORPG dynamics being introduced in multiplayer FPS.. fucking leveling up to earn better weapons??, I'm all about balance.. give the same shit to everyone from their first spawn.

Bullshit.

Headache count? Sore thumbs? meh

@flight240: No offense, but I wonder if it has anything to do with age too. I grew up playing SF2, MK1, MK2, MK3, KI and KI2 as they came out at the local arcade constantly and doing fairly well.. especially at KI and MK2 :) I was really never into the first of the VS series, it was just too different and I was

@RonCey: I would really like to try a JLF stick but as a casual player who just wants it to feel like the American machines I'm used to I find it hard to justify the cost for something so unfamiliar. I do have a hori T5 stick I would like to mod though... hmmm

And really, I'm just pointing it out because of all the comments here "What no Bat? I don't want Ball"

@RonCey: Calling HAPP crap is a bit harsh, if they fall apart of feel like junk it would be justified but IMHO they are quite solid and feel it.

I'm not sure why so many American internet arcade fanatics seem to prefer the Sanwa / Samitsu parts.. these are the parts used in Japanese arcade units. American arcade units use HAPP parts (traditional bat style with round/hex gate) so if you are looking to duplicate what you are familiar with and love about American
