So, nobody told the privateers about the inflated numbers before they used them to scale the expansion? Um, that seems to be the issue. Not to mention, why rent it out in the first place? You'd think the people in charge would have more respect for the heritage of the track. Am I off base here, or am I missing

Honestly, throw out the whole line, and just bring over the Focus RS. Is that so much to ask? Is it really?!?

@gophur: Don't forget planned obsolescence, and infuriatingly difficult maintenance.

I'd actually like to see something like an EcoBoost swap into one of these. That would give it plenty of power while preserving the mileage (well, the spirit at least) of the original diesel.

Coming for the 2014 model year, a bloated lotus crossover based on an ancient platform and an asthmatic 4-banger.

@RB26Skyline: Oh I agree. Not bashing the CR-Z. In fact, I'm going to test drive one in December when I replace my 2003 Odyssey. Speaking of which, where'd honda's spirit go? My f-ing Mini Van does 0-60 in 7.4 sec...

@snap_understeer_ftw: Granted, the hybrid (sortof) GT3 they ran a while back is a much better hybrid "sports car" then the CR-Z.

I like Volvo style, generally, but this is why I won't buy a new one. Nobody presses the brakes or turns the wheel of my car but me. Our '99 S70 on the other hand, now that's a different story.

Citröen SM without even thinking. Clutchless manual anyone?

Well that's one way you can use all that torque without goin' to jail...

These old Mercedes are unendingly classy. That's what Mercedes used to be about. (throw in "dude" and "man" wherever you please, for effect)

Love the car, love the idea, but $25,000 canadian is wayyyyy too much. I understand that this intense a project makes you feel like the car is worth more, but the seller has to keep in mind the real-world value of the car and parts themselves. Regardless of what it took to build, the seller's time is not worth that

This is my 2003 Honda Odyssey, and it's a monster. It has a 240hp V6 that does 0-60 in about 7.4 sec. I take corners at 30 mph and have a hell of a lot of fun doing it. It's a rocket on the highway, and still has room for 4 seats, a bed, a tv, and an N64 inside.

Guess hoonage has always been in our blood.

I'm buying a C30 T5, done. But... I'll always miss the wagon...

Thanks a lot, Jalopnik. I just crapped my pants.

What the hell are those Ford Thunderbirds with the pre-war nose conversions? The word "shit-show" doesn't even begin to describe the visual diarrhea present in this man's garage.

I need to get the hell out of my Odyssey and into a car that can be properly hooned. Like... right now...

I cannot even begin to describe... Ah, jeez, the things I'd do for just one of those M3s or the RS200.
