@hulahoophugs: Obviously. But I don't think that justifies the price.

@georhehagi: The thing with the mini is that you only get to drive it on Mini branded roads. You want to go to Florida? Too bad. You can't. You want to go to Colorado? Too bad, no Mini branded roads there. The worlds roads are designed for tractors with a select few that allow minis to drive on them.

@georhehagi: So you are saying that a tractor is essentially superior to a min cooper in everything but "style"? Interesting....

@Ben Graff: There are other All-In-Ones out there...

@hulahoophugs: You do realize that there are form factors such as MATX? There are also really small cases which can fit all of those specs (excluding the monitor of course).

@FourOhOne: No. When I see a Mac I see: A) someone who is computer illiterate or B) Someone who likes to waste their money

@sethcollie: Having something in that form factor does not justify an outrageous price tag.

@snrub: Sure, maybe compared to all-in-ones. But you can get a superior specced system for the same price that isn't one.

@zelannii: And more RAM. How much does the Mac come with? I would assume no where near as much becuse $5k is the starting price.

@zelannii: And if you are really set on Westmere, the X5650 is only $1k as well.

@zelannii: "12-core options at either 2.66 GHz or 2.93 GHz push the starting price to $4999"

"iMacs Are (Inevitably) Faster Than Before"

For 2,500 I could build a top of the line windows based PC. For that price I could run and max out any game on the market. A 5770? weak. Still overpriced.

Maybe the next one won't be so overpriced? Oh wait. I forgot, it is Apple.

@jjswee: Me. I want to see the source and resolution at least...

Wait, so if I embed an image in a forum post that I did not make, I am commiting a crime? how outrageous.

Not as cool as the tool that is being developed for soldiers to be able to charge their devices from power lines....
