I have seen many an e30 with over 250k on it, and most of them were in a lemons race top ten. That has to say something.

Rad, the internet shrinks down to a lovely place sometimes,
That looks very similar to my first car, a Pontiac 1000. Mine was an 84 two door. My first hatch, coupe, and my last american car.
Out of warranty Kias have the leyland effect too. Every Kia rio I have seen over 10 years old=wire insluation dissolving. Fords occasionally too; my sisters escort has more duct tape around the 12 volt wires than anything else.
@Potatosw✭tter: Okay, so I meant "new" country. Nice to see a typo gets more play than Pontiac.
This is about as retarded as the pot laws between state and federal governments. I have to find a ew country....
Who cares about an outdated and over sized motor? The only tech I find appealing in an American car right now is a certain turbocharged, direct injected v6, the wonderful little ecoboost.
Not only is this thing now separated from being a throw back design, it still has old technology pushing it around and sucking gas. I can't wait to see a muscle car look with a real performance motor, i.e. direct injected and turboed.
@CJinSD: I got the feeling that a million miles for one car in 3 years seems high. Lets see, in three years you have 26,280 hours. Put under 1,000,000, divide it all up and, lets see... you'd have to go nearly 40 mph non stop the whole time to hit the million. Even driving 60 mph 8 hours a day for three years would…
@CABEZAGRANDE: MMMMmmmm I forgot about diesels for a sec... thats hot.
The super square wheel openings are soooooo classy. I drove one of these once, we had a paintball team in it. Trying to get to Tennessee from South Carolina. As I was going up the parkway in the mountains, we hit this little rock on a steep grade and it broke the transfer case, the brakes, and two tires. We rolled…
It'd be cheaper than the mugs.
I wonder if Tesla will start giving away stock shares with their cars too.
@something_unique_and_descripti...: yup yup, I have gotten my SA open enough to swap the front half of the engine without even pulling it! Not easy, but when you get you car stuck in 2 feet of mud in a field (a paintball field in march rains of south carolina) it seems easy enough at the time.
Wankel engines have a secret you know.... if you can keep it together for one whole race, you can rebuild it in about an evening with half the cost of most piston lumps. No machine work necessary for the most part...
Gosh, if I were going to boat anchor my car with a lump so heavy, why not a 350SBC at least? Or a 5 series v8?
I hate that we apparently won't get the pleasure of a 1 hatch, but damn, I want the coupe. Not bad at all. ANd it looks about the size of an e30 m3. I hate huge cars., the m3 has swelled massively in the last decade.
