Which is fallacious in nature.
And you insist that it's easy to understand?
And your insistence that it's subjective and therefore excused is incorrect. It is a cop-out of an argument. You can't say that just because something is subjective, that it's excused from critique, that you can understand what people will or won't like it for, or even take from it. If that were true, there would be…
And the fact that it's subjective is what makes mastery of it such a complex and unintentional beast. And again, just because you can create art, doesn't mean it's good art, or that you've created anything substantial or meaningful.
I don't believe DocSuess is miserable. From his long-winded, calculated writing, I'd assume he's driven and ecstatic about what he does.
But that doesn't mean that anyone understands what makes them good. Furthermore, your statements tread very closely to being circular logic. "It's art because I say it's art" is historically false. Historically, self-proclaimed "art" has been at the liberty of critics who have and would decry such works as "non-art",…
Yes, anything has the potential to be art. I never argued against that. In fact, it further reinforces my point that no one understands exactly what art is. I expanded on this reasoning in the following sentence, and you've said nothing that leads me to believe I was wrong.
Anything can be art
I don't think that's a fair statement. I don't think anyone understands art and storytelling.
Every time I read your essays on anything related to gaming, I strongly disagree with them.
Your argument has no merit to me because your reasonings don't resonate. I feel like you don't understand the situation properly because you have yet to articulate the reasoning of your opinion with any statements of merit. Nothing you've said has attempted to meet me at any middle ground, and instead you push…
On a side note, I haven't seen an anime in a long time that I wouldn't label as sexist, so bringing an extreme example in defense of DoA is like telling me that the outfits in Guilty Crown were picked due to practicality reasons. Fanservice is inherently sexist as far as I'm concerned.
I'm not damning you or anyone else. You're so intent on being right that you're blowing every statement out of proportion, picking and choosing the statements that are most incriminating against me. Are you of an Eastern culture? From your statements I'm guessing you are. In that case, I have to agree with you: my…
I don't understand where this newfound comment of "don't look down on others" comes in? I have been very polite this entire discussion, and the only claim against you that I have made is that you don't understand the issue, which I will continue to claim, because you don't. I mean, the fact that you think DOA5 is fine…
I'm not saying there can't be a level of moderation, but I want to pull it back to its original intent. When you go about altering the physical shape of a pre-existing character within the same canon universe, you should be penalized if your alterations don't make sense.
I'm currently using an AMD. I've been using AMD for several generations now, but I am considering nvidia for my next card (not so much because I'm disappointed with AMD, but because I don't like to stick with one brand for too long).
But if you honestly think it's ok to completely strip a character of their actual character development over their looks then i can't help you.
I think the issue with your argument is that you feel that my issue is with how much Lightning turns you on. That's nothing to do with what I'm saying.
