Losing too much money is often confused with not making enough.

Well, you look at the gaming landscape in general and you have to ask yourself, "How do I create a game that's good, innovative, and will sell like hotcakes?" COD isn't the first game people copied to death, and it certainly won't be the last. WoW, for instance, is a good example, partially because it's a lot easier

Well, the beauty about Steam is that because it is digital, there is almost zero cost-per-unit for the developer to sell a single copy. Essentially, the entire bandwidth cost is fronted by Valve/Steam, who only wants their share of the sale.

"Market Share"

I ain't stompin your dreams, I'm complaining about them.

Yo sup.

Well, there goes any defense I had for Nintendo about this.

"Many cons have reoriented their programming to attract younger attendees, which is all well and good, but they haven't done much for the older crowd"

It's not a straw man argument if there's some degree of truth to it pertaining to the argument at hand. And even looking past that, again, Nintendo is well within their rights to control video and imagery of their games.

Oh, look, it's the local speech police claiming to know anything about charm or class.

You know what? I can respect that.

To be fair, the vast majority of "Let's Play" streams are done via emulation with screen-capture. It's not hard to see how an internal corporate memo to crack down on streaming could have created confusion over an event if the original memo was vague. There is nothing wrong with Nintendo acting upon the fact they feel

Because I understand MOBA games. The sacrifices that would have to be made to translate a MOBA-style game onto the iPad would make it not worth playing. I can only imagine the number of AFKers you'd get cause someone got an e-mail mid game.

Why would you play a MOBA on ANY mobile device is BEYOND ME! Do you play MOBA games? They aren't meant to be portable. They don't afford interruption. They are time consuming and portable unfriendly, with the average game lasting 40 minutes. That is not gaming on the go.

Yo, having a couple staples is a lot different than having a series for every genre under the sun. Nintendo doesn't have the third-party strength to be able to exist without putting out as many first / second party games as they do. There are five Gran Turismo games. There are nearly 20 Zelda, and all of them fall

One day, you and I will be blowhards. We will sip our tea, smoke our cigars, and bitch about how when we were kids, we actually had to move our limbs.

Yep, I don't understand mobile gaming and I want nothing to do with it. I stand by my statement, it feels inappropriate and perverted.

My argument wasn't about Nintendo not experimenting in spin-offs, though. My argument was about Nintendo delegating games to particular genres and then leaving those games to permanently hold that genre, instead of playing around with new IPs that may allow for more innovation within said genre.

Well played. Running on high is hard, though. Them pigs gonna catch me when I be trippin up.

How immersive. I wonder if you smoke pot in public if some self-righteous asshole will report you. Would surely add to the civilization-hating experience that I want to see in games.
