That’s very romantic of you. The reality is it’s a stressful and dangerous job that must be executed with a high degree of precision. Any mistakes you make could lead to someone working under you to be hurt or killed. Air bosses that spend their time looking out at the ocean don’t last very long in their position.

Ethanol has a higher octane rating than gasoline. Look at the Koenigsegg CCX, it makes 25% more power running E100 than RON 98 gas.

Yeah, it’s not like Carlos Ghosn saved Nissan from bankruptcy and guided it to it’s current status as a major automaker with 10% of the global market. I bet he just spends his days wondering how to suck the life out of the companies he runs.

Yeah. “Stock cars”.

Big surprise, nobody wants to watch a spec series that bills itself as “The pinnacle of motorsport”. At least NASCAR is honest about what it is.

This site isn’t Wikipedia, it’s entertainment. The list includes user-submitted ships of varying categories. Also, Prelude is self-propelled, it just would move very slowly over open water. It’s quicker and cheaper to tow it but it can get out of its own way.

TI Asia is an FSO now, which makes it just as much of a ship as Prelude. Prelude is bigger.

On the other hand, a fully-equipped USS Enterprise could easily chase down and sink every ship larger than it by itself (and perhaps a T-AKE or two), if its crew chose to do so. Then, it would be the largest ship in the world.

Refining capacity is an important factor. High-octane fuel requires additional processing, and the recent trend of small turbo engines is causing more consumers to buy 93 instead of 87. Also, profit margins are higher because premium fuel buyers are generally less sensitive to fuel prices, here in Texas they don’t

He and Kim have an estimated net worth of around $200 million. That’s a lot of money, but it seems silly to spend $30 million of that on a jet (plus ridiculous upkeep costs) capable enough to fly from the US to Italy. Also, business class is really nice on international flights these days.

Disagree 100%. There’s nothing exciting about a VTEC motor below 5000 rpm but once you get it up in the rev range it’s a blast. You’re just not stringing it out enough, I can’t imagine the 28 extra HP in the type-s makes that much of a difference.

It’s relevant to note that the LSD only came with the manual transmission. Automatic versions had to deal with much more torque steer.

But it’s not a Jeep...

It’s a pedestrian crash thing. Forward of the seam is a pedestrian impact-absorbing structure, behind it is the collision crumple zone.

Texas is never the wrong state.

There are plenty of racist assholes in the blue counties too, especially the PG county police.

First 5 bullets good. Everything else bad (except TPMS, variable cam timing and DI I guess).

I want a Ferrari because they make some of the most beautiful, best performing cars on the market. If they made a 911 competitor then it would water down the brand (see: California).

Those people are like Chihuahuas. They’ll snap at anything and talk all kinds of bullshit. When the time comes they’ll be the first to try and save their own asses.
