I’m not so sure about the basis of your argument. The news crew out there in the storm was telling me the same thing I’d been hearing for days already, that a nasty hurricane was going to hit Florida and cause a bunch of damage. Other than that the only purpose of putting a news crew on the ground in a storm like that

What makes you think he can afford to take it up in court? That’s not a solution when the price of entry is $25,000 minimum.

Separate but equal lives on, I see.

And the police were already out to assist other emergency services in the event that they could aide someone who really needed help

You have provided precisely zero justification for why “journalism” is worth the added risk (and for what exactly, having a guy standing there getting rained on in your shot?) but hooning isn’t. If Jalopnik had demerit points I’d give you one right now.

That public service could have been just as well performed with a webcam and a voice over...

Arguing that he should be arrested because he broke the law conveniently obfuscates the necessity of that law in the first place.

Where do you live? Here in Texas the average middle manager is way more likely to own a $50k truck than a $50k car. Interior quality is similar, interior volume is fantastic, and there are positive tradeoffs to ride quality that can make the truck a nicer place to be.

The point is performance, not smoke.

Most of those cars aren’t turbocharged. Most of those can’t pull 100 second Laguna Seca times all day long either, at least not without becoming a dedicated track car not road/race like the ATS-V.

I think I speak on behalf of the community when I say: Go Away. Please.

If they didn’t provide adequate cooling for track use then owners would be complaining when the car goes into limp mode after 10 minutes. You simply can’t put any appreciable amount of boost in on track without having enough cooling capacity to seem comical for street use. Combine that with packaging requirements and

This car is a top-line performance model, saying that it’ll be a bitch to maintain in 10 years is missing the point. You could say the same thing about any AMG or M car but it is assumed that maintenance costs are not a primary concern of the customer base.

There are 3 GLA45s in my company’s parking garage right now. Cool to know that I work with 25% of the GLA AMG owning population.

If people are willing to pay their hard earned money on this capability then who are you to call it a waste? It’s not like these are the only engines available.

Except Syria is in the middle of a brutal civil war? Do you people not even understand what real violence is?

Although water and air are both fluids the properties of each are so far apart that different engineering considerations must be made. Specific concerns are water’s incompressibility, high density, and high viscosity compared to air.

A car is a major investment I have to live with everyday for nearly a decade, there’s no way I’m buying one sight unseen. It makes about as much sense as buying a house online.

His “huckster” wife is Asian...

She’s still a successful action movie star with major hits in Tomb Raider, Wanted, and Salt and she has an academy award for supporting actress to her name. If she’s not A list then she’s at very least on top of the B list.
