Saw someone online refer to Kendrick as “Petty Pendergrass.”
That’s it, I’m dead. I love it.

But that’s because it wouldn’t have fit those three guys, who weren’t taking character actor roles - they were doing big leading man dramatic gigs in the prime of their careers. The analogue would only work if Cary Grant had spent the 60s appearing in Smothers Brothers sketches and doing Robert Downey Snr movies.
I made the same connection - both pretty discerning comedy fans with a healthy sense of their place in the world.
Brad Pitt still remains the GOAT:
they’re not really character actors at all, are they? they all took some smaller and more varied roles in their later careers I suppose but those are three of the most iconic leading men of all time
They actually starred together in A Young Doctor’s Notebook, with Jon playing the older version of Daniel’s character.
Good for him, kind of reminds me of what Daniel Radcliffe did after the Harry Potter movies, he just went off and took any weird odd role that suited his fancy at the time.
I had to look through almost her whole 2,475-post Instagram page to find that pic, so kudos on being thorough. I think it sucks she has only 1.8 million followers.
Can’t wait for them to announce a black actor or a woman as another main character that isn’t a princess and for the usual crowd to start losing their shit about “woke / DEI / Spaceballs lore is ruined” etc.
I love Spaceballs, even recorded a podcast about it, but having this sequel being helmed by writers who’s main career output as of late have been kids movies and a director who’s mostly done shorts and TV episodes isn’t exactly instilling a lot of confidence.
I once again recommend the podcast series if anyone is really clamoring for more Orphan Black. Tatiana narrates the first season and for the second season nearly the entire cast comes back. It’s as good as the series if not better.
It should be Spaceballs 3: The Search for Spaceballs 2.
“Charlize Theron was in conversation to play original killer Pam Voorhees” What the fuck? That’s wild!
Yeah, as much as I admire the guy’s work, his history reminds me of the old joke about how if you keep meeting assholes throughout the day, you’re the asshole.
Bring back Friday the 13th: The Series, with Micki ♥, Ryan, Jack and the cursed random objects.
Heroes wasn’t his show (though he was responsible for arguably the best episode). He was a hired gun. Everyone knew going in he’d go off and do his own show if he got the chance. Heroes was also cancelled before he even did Mockingbird Lane. In any case, it’s not at all unusual for television writers to create…
I would however like to rewatch the old syndicated Friday the 13th series
I don’t want to see a Friday the 13th show but I would have wanted to see a Bryan Fuller show
Yes, how the sausage is made, who wouldn’t want to see that?
