Well, if shitty angry incels disapprove, it can’t be bad!

^Exactly this. There is good reason that filmed live productions of Into the Woods (first one that comes to mind) et al. continue to be discussed and praised far more than their clumsy movie adaptations. Studios, know who your audience is and cater to them, and let the experts and professionals who made the stage…
100% this. And if you happend to have Apple TV+, and you haven’t watched “Come from Away”, go immedietly. Great show.
I also didn’t realize his bribes were from a guy trying to corner the New York Halal meat industry. Just the chef’s kiss on the whole thing.
Here’s my issue: I’ve been in 39 musicals in my life (took music theatre in college then changed career paths later). I love a good musical. What are my thoughts on the last dozen musicals-turned-to-films? I dunno cuz I missed most of them or don’t care. Why?
“I says to Taylor, I says, ‘You gotta’ have the scripts.’ You’ve got to have the scripts.”
Why is the actor who seems to be playing a leather clad version of the Tin Man hideously ugly? That character's flaw is supposed to be lacking a heart, not possessing the face of Alfred E Neuman. Also, the leather. Is this Tin Man a biker or perhaps a BDSM enthusiast?
Kevin Costner was making his own western when Taylor Sheridan was dreaming about book one-day shoots on TV shows. And winning “Best Picture”.
Tulsa Sofa King
Multiple three hour films??? Why is everything Costner makes so looooong...
I would, but I’m so tired. Tired of bad TV being admired. Tired of TV uninspired. Let’s face it, I’m tired!
Being closed ended stories helps. 1883 was pretty good (but with some obvious flaws). 1923 was as silly as the mothership, though. The whole season is just a lot of wheel spinning because they have 16 episodes to tell the story instead of 8.
In fact, forget the Western, and the blackjack.
I believe either one is acceptable these days
Yeah, well, I’ll make my own Western! With blackjack! And hookers!
The movie version of Les Mis suffered from very uneven casting decisions. If you’re going to make a musical, ALL of your main characters need to be able to knock the songs out of the park, not just SOME of them
I can't imagine this will be great, but one thing that's been obscured by the reports about her show, and by her taking on this uber-positive daytime persona who dances, is that she was always a phenomenal standup. Relatable honestly isn't even a bad set considering it was when she was in that daytime world for so…
Some of my least favorite tropes are when there are extended periods of time where characters just don’t share information, or where you know something is going to happen and they take like half a season on it (jon snow coming back to life)...as far as a hook being large mysteries that are just dropped it really…
