Yea, they were saying in the commentary it was a great place to go to as a kid.

That first PUSA album is pretty fun, but there's also some dark stuff lyrically - besides 'Lump', there's the line about worms coming out of a frog's butt in 'Body'.

Funny, I was actually just listening to some songs from Throwing Copper today. It's the only Live album I still enjoy, but 'Lightning Crashes' and 'I Alone' can go jump off a cliff.

REO Speedwagon, around '87 or '88.

They did an interview with one of the guys from Franz Ferdinand (I think Alex), and they asked him if he auditioned for American Idol what song he would sing, and he picked this one. They asked him why, and he said that Simon would probably appreciate it.

I actually found out about NoMeansNo recently, I was listening to the Butthole Surfers on YouTube and they were one of the recommended videos in the sidebar on the right. They sounded like the Minutemen on speed at times. I bought Wrong and I dig it.
And based on this writing, I may have to check out that DK tribute

The only John Cooper Clarke song I've heard is 'Beasley Street', thanks to a punk rock compilation I heard called 'Cash From Chaos'. I had no idea who it was, but I figured he was covering a Bob Dylan song, b/c it was a bit wordy and the lyrics were pretty freaking good. Turns out, it was an original.

Maybe they can teach Chappie how to 'repair' car stereos.

She looked hot in Bad Lieutenant 2, as well.

There's an article in Entertainment Weekly about Stanley and the movie. Sounded interesting, Netflix usually has tons of docs streaming so I'll see if they get it.

That's kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. It's decent 80's soft rock, and I think it's interesting how they combine the two songs.

Oh man, in the book I Want My MTV, there's a whole chapter (a small one) on how that video destroyed Squier's career.

Someone explain the Frank Stallone joke to me. I keep seeing it and I don't get the reference.

I really like some of their songs, 'Walking For Two Hours' (from their first album) is one of my favorite songs ever.

Well, it's been years since I've heard the song so you may be right, it was never a favorite of mine…

I heard PP Arnold's version of 'The First Cut is the Deepest' on a box set called Girl Group Sounds Lost and Found. Sheryl Crow's version is not that good, compared to Arnold's.

I think the original version is kind of creepy. Just the way it sounds - the drum rolls during the verses, the tone of her voice, it just has this feeling that something bad has happened.

Whenever I see a picture of D'Onofrio, first thing I hear is always R. Lee Ermey screaming "PRIVATE PYLE!"

I remember seeing this in the theater when it first came out. I remember 'Why Should I Worry?', had no idea Joel did the voice for Dodger.
