IWait... maybe this is a memory from another timeline, but i thought KT left io9 some time ago, which I assumed was from a desire to never see another episode of Discovery ever again.

I read a couple of different recaps of Discovery each week, and I find that they say a lot more about the particular reviewer and what he or she expects STAR TREK to be than about the particular show.
Seriously, can someone less emotional and maybe a little more objective start reviewing Discovery? You know, someone who can actually discuss pros and cons of an episode without having a meltdown? Maybe a review like this - https://www.avclub.com/burnham-meets-the-emperor-and-discovery-finds-a-new-gro-1822278505
“As a result, it (and the less customizable $50 Dual Shock 4 controller and $50 Steam controller) were excluded from this test.”
They’re great controllers, but they lack the ability to tweak the parameters that might make them truly exceptional.
Meh. You’ll have to pry my Steam Controller from my cold, dead hands. I’ve spent so much time with it’s holy grail combination of trackpad and motion that I now have a very hard time with a standard PS4 controller. Controllers that still use sticks exclusively are dead to me now.
Are you really saying the Steam Controller is not customizable ENOUGH!? The entire problem with that thing is it’s TOO customizable. You essentially have to program the entire device yourself before you can play a game with it.
This article is unbelievably mindless. It shows nothing in terms of scriptural, historical or spiritual context. The author is as negligent in due diligence as the bible thumper wackos who pick and choose from the bible to support their own bias. Really, even if you are not a believer this kind of verbal hogswallup…
Things that are wrong with this article.
1. Jesus can never act “un-Jesus-like”. What he is doing may seem strange, but that does not make it “un-Jesus-like”. Also how can Jesus do something that is not Jesus like, everything He does is Jesus like, from breathing to preaching and casting out demons.
The author takes most ALL of these situations out of the intended context!
One of the most ignorant articles ever blogged, and that is saying something. It only proves you do not know what is “Jesus-like,” because you do not know who Jesus was. It is ludicrous to sate that ANYTHING JESUS DID was un-Jesus-like. And for future reference, Jesus wasn’t a “nice guy.” And if you read everything he…
You forgot one part with the temple story. He takes the time to build a whip. John 2:15
In most of these events, there is a background and a moral that is important to understanding Christianity, else the writer would not have remembered it. Your not knowing the background, and assuming the ridiculous does not make it so. One simple example, Christ most probably washed his hands before dinner. What he…
HISTORICAL NON BIBLICAL ACCOUNTS OF THE EXISTENCE OF JESUS
Jesus essentially saying “I don’t want to be too clear otherwise everyone will get into heaven”
Ok, I get it - Jesus did some crazy stuff in the gospels. But for crying out loud, man: Do some contextual research on the accounts you listed in the article.
On number one, the tax was a Jewish temple tax not a Roman one. As he explained to Peter, as the son of God, he was not required to pay the temple tax as it was a tax for God. He compared it to kings and how they don’t tax their sons but rather other people. He then sent Peter to get the money from a fish’s mouth so…
Congratulations, you’ve taken these verses out of context better than most fundamentalist Christians.
I opened this to be entertained, and it did start off entertaining, but the more I read the more disheartened I became.
Slightly funny article. Mostly just blindingly incorrect. Understand your source material before you lampoon it.
