Body cameras aren’t stopping the shootings from happening. The police are just refusing to release the footage, as we keep seeing over the last several weeks.

In the case of a white man, the police will first try to negociate and talk, even if he is holding a visible gun, even if he is verbally threatening to shoot, even if he already had shot someone and even if he is pointing said gun at the police themselves.
