Ashford stuck with the laser plan because it was a plan that could only be executed by the OPA - not Mars or Earth, who didn’t have the comms laser.

It probably would have worked better if they had said they had 2 hours, giving everyone a serious ticking clock, and also being able to justify “we literally only have time to try one of these options; if we shut down the Behemoth’s reactor it’ll take two hours just to power it back up again and another hour to charge

I was laying down on my couch sick with fever, and even I sat the fuck up when that elevator came crashing down on Diogo.

My explanation is an aging memory, a worsening attention span, and an actual belief that the near-perfect season had a flawed finale.

I really thought Drummer was dog meat.  When that elevator came smashing down on Harari’s head, I cheered and started cracking up.

It’s like the characters have never seen even a single episode of TNG.

I think that’s the problem with this show. It tonally sits, sometimes uncomfortably, between super serious sci-fi drama a la BSG and not as serious, slightly campy 2000's sci-fi like Firefly. For what it is I think it is excellent. The world-building is literally top 5, over *all* media, for me.

THIS SHOW IS SOOO GOOD.

That’s how Miller is appearing. Via that bit of protomolecule. It’s why he wants another ride next season to go through the rings to find out what happened to the civilization that built its programming. Clearly a little bit of it goes a long, long way.

I was completely blown away by this season and a great finish with this double episode finale.

I was like Wow Grouch face.. ok.. and then I kinda jumped too. Haha

And she was in the preview for next week’s episode.

I continue to be hooked on the wonderful writing and acting on the Expanse. Thank goodness Amazon picked up season 4. I hope they release the entire season at one time to allow binge watching which should make things exciting.
