It’s not unusual to maintain some kind of work in order to have day-to-day income. Whatever you have left can then be put into these investments.

Up until this point I thought Wish was some kind of basic “princess goes on a journey with a wishing star (maybe to get the star back to its place in the sky or some shit)“.
Learning that it has shoe-horned multiverse circlejerk brought it down from “maybe I’ll watch it on D+” to “I’ll only watch it if it shows up on…
God willing we get another iconic “Press F to pay respects” meme out of their attempts at “nuance”.
The Chris-to-Pratt-cists
This isn’t South Park. I don’t think the episode was interested in “saying” something about an “issue”. Rather, it just uses it’s sci-fantasy weirdness to create an ethically weird scenario for the characters to react to.
Morty’s intial motivation for trying to make things right struck me more about trying to find a…
You got me with the headline. I assumed “ends in tragedy” meant the card opening somehow killed/injured someone.
I adore how the stakes are basically “Prevent his wife/kid from moving to Florida” instead of “save the city/country/world/universe from Threat X”.
GENOS: “Master, is it true that you’re the strongest hero?”
SAITAMA: “Not quite, Genos...because nothing’s stronger than family...”
Just what we need: more pointless “content” starring some kind of CGI monstrosity.
You joke, but as a little kid my family’s VHS copy of Bambi was recorded from television with the mother’s death fast-forwarded through. We grew up never seeing the full film until I was, like, 9-10. And I’d jokingly refer to it as “Bambi: Unrated and Uncut”, since there were commercials for “unrated” versions of home…
Nah, they also have one in Minsk:
as does World of Tanks maker Wargaming.
Yeah, there are some of the swings at comedy whiff pretty hard. The show’s at its absolute weakest when it’s trying to be funny and infinitely better when it sticks to the core story, its characters, and the action.
As a long-time GM with little prior exposure to Critical Role, this show has been pleasant overall. Lots of the character and story tropes are pretty well-worn in the fantasy tabletop world, but were executed entreatingly here.
That GIF reminds me of my distaste for the current trend of the “franchise splash screen” alongside the other company logos. DC shows and movies have it too. Yeah, dumbass, I know I’m watching a thing from that franchise. You could’ve saved me a few second, y’know?
Is that Seth Rogen Viking guy supposed to be a riff on that weird CGI Beowulf from a forgotten age?
That’s a hell of a deep cut.
Rebuild of the Last Rebuild of Evangelion 1.69: Apparently You Can (Not) Redo After All
(Be a depressed, traumatized middle schooler forced to be a child soldier piloting a Freudian flesh bot that makes you feel pain.)
“Also, you’re going to be teaming up with a giant, radioactive dinosaur; this weird silver alien, and a guy on a motorcycle...”
Can’t wait to play Tencent-Disney-Microsoft-Actiblizzard’s Call of Overwatch: Black Ops of Runeterra, featuring limited edition Candy Crush NFT DLC, in Q1 of 2032.
It’s easy to have good trigger discipline when ya ain’t got any damn fingers!
