High maintenance cost? What could that be other than tires compared to ICE vehicles? Perhaps they mean higher repair costs in the event of accidents or fender-benders since we know renters don’t treat the cars well? I’m confused what this could be.

I’d be curious as to what “maintenance” those EVs need. There isn’t a whole lot to maintain, certainly less than an ICE vehicle.
It’s pretty funny to see headlines like this:
There are plenty of documentaries on his crash and how he died. Did you ever watch one?
Her husband got a similarly shitty loan, so what’s his excuse?
“I got taken advantage of!”
“I did not go with my husband and as a female I feel they took advantage of me.”
It’s the ones that DON’T look dramatic that are the worst. You want to be bouncing and spinning and shedding parts. That is shedding energy. It’s the undramatic sudden stop crashes like Dale Earnhardt’s that get you very dead, very, very quickly. Though IIRC, Senna died because a piece of the car hit him in the head,…
Trust me, the Aurora was a beacon of shining light in the dreck that was the late ‘90s GM product line. It was a happy, happy day when Avis upgraded me to one.
Short money for a low-mile Vette ragtop. What’s not to love? As long as it’s not hiding any serious issues it’d be a fun cruiser.
Most people get NO severance when fired/laid off/whatever.
Despite no tickets nor accidents in over 20 years I opt to pay a bit more for insurance and skip the safe driving apps and plug-ins. Living in urban areas I would likely trigger events constantly, much like the gentleman above no speed issues but plenty of sudden stops usually due to other drivers and oblivious…
I like how these folks want all the perks of a governed society but none of the responsibilities. Isn’t there a patch of desert or tundra or a vacant Island we could move them to so they could be free.
Yes, it’s ridiculous, but I get the logic if he was on the clock when it happened.
As I have gotten older, I have learned to not let things bother me if I am going to never think about them again in 20 minutes. More people need to go back to not worrying about other peoples business.
Why do you "loath people who do this"? I am legitimately curious and a little confused
It’s not disingenuous simply because you don’t like it. Portland has had several murders in just the past few weeks by these clowns.
Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. In the realm of designer furniture, $5k isn’t terrible. The classic Eames lounge chair is more expensive than this.
Here’s my problem with Elon: It’s hard to deny what he brought into this world. We would not be better off if he never existed.
Nothing about this is humble.
