It was unclear which Portland this story was about until about halfway through. In the future, could you cite that it is Oregon upfront? Portland Maine is a far whiter city (91% to 71%), which lead me to extra confusion when you called it the whitest city in America...

agreed. As a golfer, my rain jacket doesn’t have a hood which my girlfriend does not understand. I wear a FootJoy rain hat when I golf that keeps the rain from going down my collar and the combo allows me to swing freely without a hood hitting me in the face.
