Used electric cars currently are cheap and in 22 years will be even cheaper. Imagine what technology improvements will see in 22 years. Think about how much computers have become compared now then in 1996. We went from dial up to high speed internet that can easily stream HD video.

I already own two hybrids and one of those has battery hiccups, and such hiccups and the inevitable eventual failure of battery packs is a large part, in my opinion, of why people would try to avoid outright ownership of a hybrid or EV when they could simply have it for a while
