Well the rumors say they’re ending in LA, which would make sorta sense since they’ve been down from Alaska before.

I’m not here to rag on them, all the departing staff roasts over on Deadspin make it sound like the parent company has a culture of more videos, increase clicks (rather than unique pageviews) and lower quality. They still do great original pieces, I figure the other stuff pays the bills and keeps the passing through

Impressive that the Prius tried to beat the light right in front of a cop car, I’m guessing situational awareness not a strong suit here though.

Mate, for $35k you get a pile of parts on the floor that you now have to spend hundreds of man hours assembling or you pay a fortune to someone else.

Dead on - they get overbuilt like crazy and then never driven because a Cobra with a modern big block is a truly terrifying beast. They were a formidable race car during a particularly deadly period in motorsports history and are not well suited for a nice Sunday cruise to the olive garden, like say a ‘77 corvette

Where did you see that sell? Every Cobra replica I’ve ever seen listed has been $50-$100k for sale by some geezer who built it up with a big block, all the shiniest chrome parts and knows what he’s got. (Yes you can build them on a budget with salvage parts but nobody ever seems to)

Yeah but those are still usually knocking on the $50k+ range cos it turns out custom fab is pricey.

It is rumored that in response at the following year’s Le Mans 24hr Bentley engineers installed a set of a British Racing Green truck nutz on their cars for Ettore to watch swing past once a lap...

I read this on the BBC a while back and his argument seemed pretty weak. So far as I can tell his logic went “I can’t have been speeding therefore your camera must be wrong” and then proceeded to call expert witnesses to say why the cameras are theoretically fallible. Not like he had dashcam footage, GPS track data,

So much this, we are rapidly approaching the tipping point where EVs with 300+ mile ranges cost the same or less than their gas counterparts. At which the development will continue like a barrel over niagara falls and they will economically murder them.

One of the highest selling vehicles (if not the highest) in the US is the F150 which a cursory search says had an average selling price of $44k a couple of years ago. Don’t pin it on the luxury and lease market that's probably a pretty representative average.

The background architecture and name of the Hotel suggests the photo was taken in the Netherlands or Belgium but the stop sign is in English. However the car is LHD and the road is drive on the right - I’m confused.

Yeah I need to take advantage of some demo bikes for sure before I buy something used, online or at the end of year clearance sales... Will likely be a year or so out as have other priorities ATM and am very cheap at the best of times

Man I need to get into understanding the current generation of mountain bikes. Took my kid for lessons at a bike park today and it’s painfully clear that my ‘99 Zaskar is a bike built for efficient trail riding not technical stuff or hopping obstacles. Doesn’t help that I’m also hella rusty, the last time I was on
