I think that was a take on BRUCE Wayne taking the Lamborghini instead of the Batmobile.

I just loved the fact that one of the cars had a vanity plate reading “5UBTLE”. Because Lamborghinis are all about subtlety.

1963 Chrysler Pacecar. Old Chrysler's just look good. Large American convertible v-8 pretty much the American dream. The blue was also a great color.

I know that particular Buick, as cars go, was pretty much hot garbage. But when I was 6 years old, looking at my grand-dads car magazine (Motor Trend, iirc) one summer in Louisiana, I saw an ad for it and thought it was pretty much the coolest car anyone had ever made.

Mine is only 3.2% of my property value, so I guess we have it easy in some ways.

EVERYTHING had a tax when I visited Florida last year, holy shit, I think I had to pay a tax on the toll. Perfectly rigged system for the locals though, make all them out of town people pay for your state. I wish California would do more of it.

or the 40 year old Chevy van that has 20 year old tires with *nylon* belt wear showing :shudders:

Collector cars (and “sporty” SUVs) are fuckery to me. I load my Cayman (and my prior 911) up with camping gear, I have a snowboard rack on it in the winter, I autocross on weekends, and I just washed it for the first time in 3 months.

I remember a few years back, I was snowboarding in the Wasatch. On this particular day, we were heading up Little Cottonwood Canyon on the bus, and it was snowing pretty bad... enough so that I questioned whether it was a good idea to take my rental car up the hill that day (hence the bus). Imagine my surprise and

Tim, you’re my hero.

Yah, I have a lot of people say that to me, but I see it differently.

You know what they say - the early bird doesn’t catch the (oil) worm because its beak’s been sealed over!

If I buy one, it will be named “Mr Anderson”!

For starters, no, not everybody realizes their history about them and turbocharging. I own 3 Volvos, you would (apparently) not believe how many people dont believe they are running boost until I pop the hood. Even then when they are staring at boost couplers and intercooler pipes, you still have to point them to the

They have great coffee as well.

Maybe you should up your income bracket if you are going to places like the one pictured.

What are you smoking? Stealerships mark up parts 3-800% these days. Its insane, never buy parts from stealerships. Buy them over the internet, or anywhere but in person at a stealership. If you want factory parts, thats cool, get them, but never pay stealership prices for parts.

I personally like to drive the exact car I’m debating on buying. Not just what the dealer has to display to me. Which is why I probably wouldn’t go for a business model like this as well as a lot of other people. I could definitely see It working though. I mean CarMax made a business model based on paying sticker

Agreed. Unfortunately, that won’t happen briskly, but I think before the whole buying model changes entirely, dealers just need to downsize.

In my country, we also have dealership but they sold the car/bike at fixed national market price IF you pay one time in in full/ buy cash not credit.
