well PC has a higher barrier of entry. that normally leads to elitism doesnt matter which field it is or what it is

the thing about the batman game though was only the developers / publishres fault, not the platform
why an old pc? i play all those old games on the very PC i play all the new games as well.. which is kinda my point that i dont really need lots of machines and disks and cartridges or any of that on my PC
i do understand that but its no rocket science. im not asking you to build your PC (and besides installing the motherboard, the rest of the stuff is just “plug it where it fits”. and theres no need to build your pc yourself either)
i dont care much about graphics (as long as one is not obviously looking way worse obviously) but id say FPS is a bit of a big deal
i doubt its gonna be that easy. i mean on PC you got variable hardware. that means that you can push the game to the limits if you got better hardware than what they expected. if you make the game look better then itll (normally) require more resources to run properly. those resources wont exist on consoles
agreed. except it isnt about just about graphics here but the experience. high framerate = better experience, doesnt matter if it looks bad or not. everything just works and seems smoother
its denial thats what it is.
yea learning stuff is scary! lets just keep stick with the simple and inferior products!
they can be so much more but even at just gaming theyre still superior. me and my friends play mostly old games when we play together; worms armageddon, warcraft 3, aoe2, gta2, to name a few. none of which would still exist on a modern console (its funny now that i see the list that they never did exist on any console)
for this particular game maybe?
let them pick a knife then? im sure a couple of kids wont manage to kill dozens on a school with just a knife. guns just make it too easy thats the problem
dat FoV tho
of course its content, just not my defintion of “a healthy stream of content”. adding complete new continents with a ton of new units, textures, weapons, armor, skills, talents, classes, sounds, animations, new raids, new bosses etc now thats more like it but anyhow..
im not sure you can or should compare destiny to WoW. theyre way too different
i dont think its the plan to go f2p. if they feel it makes sense later on they might, but for some reason they didnt do that in either hots or hearthstone
overwatch =/= moba
“I find this to be a bit greedy on Blizzard’s behalf. If they launched the base game with all 20 heroes as F2P and then add a healthy stream of content the game could be extremely profitable.”
they always did outsource them though
different platforms, different markets, etc etc
