no please, i hate replaying games. liming the playtime to 20 minutes should fix this refund issue IMO

they should just lower the time to 20 minutes or something
if it doesnt run on your system for some random reason (happens sometimes) yea that sucks, but a demo would have made that obvious as well so dont need refunds for that (valve could enforce demos like xbox)
i know it does happen (happens on kickstarter as well) but as many others say on EA: only buy the game if you like it as it is already. anything else (like hoping on future updates) and youre putting yourself in an unnecessary risky situation which could have been avoided by just waiting it up. anyways im not even…
true. thats why i said in another reply a demo would make this system a bit irrelevant. youd check if the game runs on your system and youd be able to check how the game “feels” which, depending on the genre (in platformers is a huge deal) it can be a dealbreaker
ouch! somebody forgot their meds today :)
i agree and obviously im not saying they shouldnt offer refunds. just saying 99% of cases are actually preventable (like your own) with a little research
uplay is normally very easy to run properly. believe me im subscribed to heroes of might and magic 6 forums and i help there with technical support issues. most of the time uplay is “fixed” by running it as admin from its folder rather than letting steam running it
i never pre order and i hardly ever buy AAA games (my last one probably being dark souls 2 on release) but im not sure how those are relevant to anything i said :)
actually it has about 85% positive votes on steam so most people actually liked it for what it was
if steam enforced demos then that kind of stuff could have been avoided but yea i guess this is a cheaper solution probably
im not against it obviously. just saying most complaints from people about buying stuff is actually their fault for not spending 2 minutes researching before deciding to buy a game and it bugs me a bit when they blame the system for their lack of research
why are you buying those games in the first place?
well they should then :p
oh please, they have huge warnings (which keep getting bigger with each steam update) so that people are aware of what theyre getting into. EA is worse than gambling, because in the best case scenario, you dont win anything. you could just wait till its fully released and voila, you avoided that unnecessary risk
10 points for losing, 20 for winning? wouldnt that lead to some inflation in the point system? i mean more points are being generated than the ones being lost
im just saying the average consumer would never have to deal with this. 2 minutes of “research” will get you up to date on anything big regarding the game
how are you above specs with an integrated GPU? lol
1- absolutely agreed, especially when it comes to platformers (which i play a lot). the “feel” of the movement and what not is something you have to see for yourself. however, a way better system exists: game demos. valve could just enforce demos like xbox did and voila
