God forbid you all allow people to actually enjoy things that don’t personally tickle your fancy.

Followed by “Oops! Too Many Billboards!”

Hey, now, say what you will about Shyamalan, but Unbreakable was at least an original, ‘gritty’ superhero movie before that was a ‘thing,’ and Split was a genuine surprise of spinning that movie into a trilogy. If nothing else, his stuff is at bare minimum something ‘original’ (albeit derivative).

Were any of them named Frederick Wertham? Because I gotta tell ya, the track record of psychologists on this is pretty shitty.

Yeah, it’s becoming a stale genre, but the whole “we get it, there’s a hero, then a villain, then a conflict, and they overcome and become stronger” is literally the framing for damn near every story that has ever existed.

Yes, how dare we go see movies with people doing exciting things. We should all go see Jennifer Lawrence gawk at things off-screen or Ryan Gosling look stoned as fuck while gazing at something off-screen. SUCH RIVETING CONTENT!

None of these super heroes are even real.

That would be true if he was like 20, but he’s 32 and should really not be doing this.

I want someone with some practice managing the level and type of work that is required of a president. For me, that can come from a number sources: Congress, state government, mayor of a major city

Obviously AOC but the people aw run have to be more than “not Donald Trump.”

Oh, wow. One chart with no link whatsoever. I’m convinced.

You can’t even bother here.

So he’s the most popular politician with 46% of the vote?!?!?!

Yeah he’s so popular he couldn’t even win his own party’s nomination and isn’t leading in many current polls to win the 2020 one either.

This. I don’t understand the enthusiasm for Beto. “Here’s a guy who couldn’t beat Ted Cruz. Let’s make him our nominee.”

They would’ve attacked him solely on his apparent policy views

IMO these early polls might as well be framed as “who have you seen in the news lately?”.

Wait.  So Bernie’s age doesn’t matter for him to be President, but something something Nancy Pelosi something something time for new blood, right?

Counter-Counter-Point: being a good President is more than the sum of your policy positions, and Bernie would be a terrible President, which is why he shouldn't run.
