It seems odd to choose your custom Viper color from the Intrepid order sheet, but I don’t hate it. I’ve seen cheaper Vipers. I’ve also seen why those Vipers were cheaper. This one looks good, and $30k is around the bottom for nice ones. Nice Price.

My 235 has a nice gear shift though the clutch throw is too long. Pedal spacing is great which makes up for it.

My wife’s Fit has an excellent Honda 6 speed. Clutch is so light though that when I got out of my old 540 and drove the Fit for the first time in six weeks I almost put my foot through the firewall!

What generation Mustang? I have an 04 mach 1 with the super heavy cable clutch. The clutch itself is fine but the shifter was once described in a review as “having all the tactile joy of rowing a wrench in a bucket of bricks”. If you have a newer gen mustang, then it looks like Tremec hasn’t improved much.....

As a 6MT Mk7 R owner, the shifter is fixable. You need metal bushings (stock are rubber) and a metal bracket (stock is plastic), it takes a lot of the flex out of the whole thing and makes it much less “gummy” as a result. It is much, much better than stock and isn’t expensive to do.

Can confirm that the aftermarket Steeda clutch spring is amazing, way better than Ford’s vague spring. I honestly prefer the notchy feel (shifting an older Corolla (I know not a great comparison) felt as reassuring as shifting through spaghetti).
