Certainly, and I think that’s a good deal. But brand new, it’s a tough sell.

I don’t doubt you, but in my area, I’ve tracked the price periodically for years and they just don’t budge. I live in an area where base model Mustangs sit on lots $5-7k under MSRP almost every season. The Toyota dealers seem to be worse but the Subaru ones I see are still at or just barely under MSRP. I noticed that

MSRP is $26,455. The cheapest manual I could fin in stock on a lot 75 miles from my house is $27, 771. The cheapest GTI I could find within 75 miles is $20, 974. The GTI hits 60 mph almost 2 seconds quicker. I bet they’re pretty close bone stock on a Auto X course too.

I mean I understand the concept of inflation, but it’s irrelevant to this discussion. You can get a Ecoboost Mustang with ~150hp more for $5-7k less than this with a full warranty. My base model V6 Mustang was on the lot brand new below $20k and it’s got 100 more hp. Hp isn’t everything, but these numbers don’t favor

My guess is not enough to justify paying the sticker price on the SE models. I’d imagine some intrepid owners armed with some tools and bolt-ons could make a pretty sorted Toyobaru in their garage for a lot less than what this TRD is gonna cost OTD.

I’ve given up on these things. I’m ok with the momentum car sentiment, but they’re way too expensive. $32k for this is a bit crazy and you’d be hard pressed to find one with any sort of discount over $1k. I’m also over thinking that these need more power, because even if they do (come on, they do), we’re not going to

Pose on FX nailed its casting. That show IS authentic and a lot of that authenticity comes from LGBT+ actors/actresses actually playing LGBT+ characters. This isn’t rocket science. They could have cast the role with a trans man if they bothered to even try in the first place. But they didn’t because they thought that

That looks awesome and I would totally daily that but I don’t think those were ever sold in the US so I wouldn’t have a shot at owning one sadly.

The RS is nice. I love the nitrous blue. But it’s still got the Focus bones and I just don’t get the fizz feeling from it. Same problem with the Golf R, I thought about making the step up, but it’s still a Golf. Ironically, I do like the MK6 2 door GTI/Rs a lot more, but I wanted the new head unit and interior and I

That’s really all that matters. FWIW, I’ve always had a soft spot for Abarths but the horror stories kept me away. I’m guessing yours is not one of the problem children but I could only own one as a second car.

One of my biggest beefs with hot hatches is that they just don’t look cool. I owned a GTI for little over a year and it just never lit those receptors in my brain that like cool shiny stuff. It looked acceptable and was fun to drive but I never looked at it on those long parking lot walks and went, “Damn that looks

Yea I don’t get the hate. So what they didn’t cleansheet it? It still is a great looking sports car. I really want one of the 2016+ models but it’s just outside my price range. The digital dash is so cool. I love how clean the interior is without a flat screen stuck right in the middle of the dashboard.

I really hope this backfires on Toronto because their ceiling is not nearly as high as they think it is, and they’re too stupid to understand that getting a top 3 seed in the EC and selling out playoff games well into Spring isn’t such a bad thing when literally one team is a historical favorite to win the championship

Wow, I would have went ballistic. I remember on the VWVortex forums that threads would pop up every now and then with the gas-in-diesel disaster. Glad you got it fixed, that can be a catastrophic mistake in some instances. SEL TDI Passat was probably pretty nice. I have soft spot for TDIs, the late model 2.0 ones are

“VALUE DIRECT” should seriously become a Jalop-meme right up there with the V6 Mustang.

Yea she basically said to the dealer that corporate will be ripping him a new one and he threw the kitchen sink at my mom to stop her from going nuclear with the whole situation. The car she got instead had all types of cool options like the 15 inch BBS wheels, sunroof, and upgraded stereo. I’d love to know how much

I always wonder how often that happens where a salesperson sneaks in a test drive or two before a scheduled customer rolls in. My mom ordered a 1995 Passat and it came straight off the truck. It had to sit on the lot for a day before she could collect due to a scheduling conflict, but it was her Passat that she

Yea spot on, I know the trade-in low ball is coming, so as soon as they give it to me I go, “Meh. I guess I’ll just wait and save some more money and come back in a few months” and watch them scramble. After two or three trips (tops I ever had was three) back to the “Finance Manager”, they usually get it right.

The original Genesis didn’t launch until 2008. Genesis was officially announced as a stand-alone brand in 2015. No car in Hyundai’s history wore Genesis branding before 2008. If you’re going to be pedantic at least be right, sheesh.

DX ones are so overpriced it’s insane. I got a $65 generic brand one off of Amazon and I love it. It even matches the RGB I choose for my PC build.
