What a beautiful disaster.

I was not expecting that price at all when I clicked. I am shocked. I have no idea if the Rapide is worth any penny of that but it sure does look appealing on paper.

MK7. Maybe I got a bad one, but it was not an enjoyable shifting experience.

I’ve driven two, a MK4 Jetta TDI and a MK7 GTI. The Jetta was fine, effortless throws, super light clutch. The GTI was a mess. The bite point is tiny and vague, the auto hold feature could only be turned off with VAGCOM and sometimes engaged and sometimes didn’t, the gates are super close and really mushy. I once got

So much this. The MT-82 in my Mustang is hot garbage. The manual in my GTI was worse. The truth is a lot of manual cars on the market now have really bad transmissions. But I’d rather have my MT-82 than a slushbox.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia alternative that, unlike the Alfa, won’t leave you and your sidepiece stranded at Cheesecake Factory. If it’s priced right, I’m interested.

Compare this to Pony cars 10 years ago. Amazing. Also, I would bet good money that everyone who worked on the S550 Mustang likes the original styling over the mid-cycle refresh of the 2018+. The 2015-2017 styling is just so much better. Well except maybe the person responsible for the new styling but even then he/she

Ken, I just want to say I absolutely love your posts. Probably my favorite content on this site.

My mother strapped me to a chair and showed me her entire budget for the month. How much was coming in and how much was going out. She did this to me at least twice a year from when I was 16 to about 19. She made sure I knew how the real world works and what it costs, and I’m better for it. Sit that kid down and drill

They really missed an opportunity here for the plate to say “TAXHAVN”.

Dude, they’re going to make a ton of these things. Your 718 is going to end up at the bottom of the depreciation curve like every other one if you own it long enough. The last gen Cayman isn’t exactly crossing the auction block at record numbers. You can pick up a Cayman of that generation for a very decent price.

Again, you’ve missed the point. Nowhere did I claim that sound has anything to do with performance. Like I said, it’s a subjective factor for SOME people. Why can’t you understand this? There are plenty of people who buy cars regardless of how they sound. There are plenty of people who buy cars because they sound a

Bad luck. Sometimes it’s just in the hand you’re dealt. Sorry, man. I feel really bad for the owner. The ensuing repairs are probably not cheap or easy.

“Um....That’s coming in an over-the-air update.” - Elon

Investors: “Elon, where is the model 3?”

My preferred nomenclature is “turn signal”.

You got off to a bad start with “rims” but I’ll look past that. Wheels are probably one of the easiest mods you can do. You can even get other OEM BMW ones from the dealer. Not sure what you’re so upset for.

That steak metaphor was terrible. Anyway you missed the point. I already mentioned that the car seems to be objectively brilliant per press consensus. You’d be hard pressed to find someone that would argue otherwise. The point is that for some buyers, the sound of the car IS important. I’m not arguing if one car

Subie sounds way better no doubt. I kind of feel bad for men and women who option the 718 with the sports exhaust. I feel like that’s putting lipstick on a spotted pig. I think there’s a argument worth having about how important sound is in a sports car. Nearly every review of this car I’ve read or watched either goes

Not sure if you’re joking but um ok.
