About a year ago, my dog’s face started swelling up overnight. I thought he’d gotten stung by a bee, but it turns out that it was an impacted tooth. We got some antibiotics and, because he was almost 13 and already suffering from advanced liver cancer, we decided to just keep an eye on it and give him more antibiotics

My guess is that your cat’s mouth was always supposed to look like it does now. His face was probably slightly swollen from the rotten tooth for years and you are just now seeing his normal face. If there is a fully rotten tooth, there were probably other teeth like that too. Hence the 3 extractions. Probably should

This is a question for your vet, not random people on the internet. If you’re concerned, contact them. They probably want to do a two week checkup anyway to check that he’s healing well. This is really stupid. Source: I’m a vet tech.
