No, its 100% a VA WRX with a wagon back and different body works. Mechanically and Chassis its 100% identical to a CVT VA WRX in almost every way - only difference is BIGGER brakes than WRX, suspension tune and a bigger CVT cooler - and I think that’s all been ported to the 2018 WRX now
