It’s more story than game design, but I think the lack of voice and facial animation in the characters made those games better. It forced the designers to be extra creative with making the characters express emotion. Remember Zidane’s ‘blah blah blah‘ hand waving, or Steiner’s so rigid I’m Shaking? Fantastic.

I’m a very happy Xbox One gamer. Had no interest in Spark anyway nor the direction they were taking Fable, although I did enjoy the original games.

Fable 2 is almost certainly the best game on balance in the series despite being undone in the final act.
