I've had that problem, too. Like, what exactly was his role in the gang beforehand, if the team was not made up of all four elements? And the rest of the novice airbenders pretty much suck at it. I'm not going to go nuts if I don't get an explanation, but it is a flaw.

Yeah, that one's not bad, either, but I think The Resurrected is probably the best Lovecraft adaptation.

Check out Dan O'Bannon's The Resurrected, an adaptation of The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. It's updated to modern times, but it's a pretty excellent adaptation.

I remember not liking this much (it was on before or after X-Files, and I didn't like it nearly as much as that), but I became a huge fan of Bruce Campbell afterward. I bought this on a whim for like $18 from Deep Discount a while back. I should really get around to watching that.
