Doesn't "spazz" mean "retarded" in a derogatory sense in the UK? It doesn't mean that in the US.

They sure did. Don't you remember Bart Simpson waiting in line to get into the Family Guy studio?

It should be such a weak sketch, but I love that one late period sketch where the Queen drops in on a couple of regular Canadian ladies and they dare her to fart.

Fire Fire Fire, Fire on my Brain!

Absolutely. It might be mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but both Mark and Kevin went on to co-star (well, Mark straight up starred) in Guy Maddin features. The first Maddin film I saw was The Saddest Music in the World, and it really reminded me of "Sausages."

Where do… pencils come from?

I think we show this Hitler guy to be a pretty unsavory character!

Yeah, we demanded that back when the Mr. Show writeups were ending. This is necessary! Really, about the only episode that's worthless is the Buddy Cole special. There was never an episode that wasn't 80% or more great sketches. There would be plenty to talk about.

Pretty sure the first thing I ever saw was the very first episode, played on HBO when I was in a hotel room with my grandparents. I'm surprised they let me watch it. They had HBO and I'd watch it whenever I stayed at their house.

I had a few high school friends who were into the show, but most of them made sure to note that Scott was the least funny. Most of the people I knew who were familiar with it but didn't like it would insist that they were all gay.

Thanks for the Doug Jines sketch. Have never seen it. But I do disagree with the Fuck the Bank sketch. That one is hysterical, and I don't think the censored sketch is very strong. Still, it contains the infamous line "Someday I'll eat pancakes on her grave!" which kind of says it all.

Crisis alert!

I'd frankly take KITH over pretty much any sketch comedy show. I'd probably take UCB second.

I was coming here to post much the same thing. There was a lot of homophobia around me when I was growing up, and the KITH introduced me to the concept of actual homosexuality long before I ever knew a gay person.
