Well, that has nothing to do with the performance of the CPU. They just don’t have TPM 2.0 which is now a requirement. I agree that it’s a weird restriction, but it’s something they’ve wanted to do since Windows 8 anyway and they probably just feel like now is the time.

It depends on which blockchain the tokens are hosted. If it’s a proof-of-work blockchain instead of a proof-of-stake blockchain then yes, NFTs themselves are just as bad as mining the currency.
