Between Mando, Bad Batch, and several books and comics, I’m not sure the prequels have done more world building than Disney. I mean, thanks to Mando, I know what a toilet looks like in Star Wars. Thanks to the prequels… I know about space NASCAR and trade federation negotiations… the toilet seems more important :P

Unfortunately because Twitch has no discoverability tools, so users rely on the ability to send their viewers to other streamers. Maybe if they had their act together in that regard they could scale the raid feature down, but that still wouldn’t stop people from organizing the raids outside of the built-in feature.

I expect that, like any competitive reality show, they’ll play up the drama of when a contestant gets eliminated. The fact that this means real people in need could suffer and die and it’s presented as entertainment is what makes it scummy.

All I know is that it’s in really bad form for an OpEd writer to hijack the comments to defend his work when his piece already had the headline. It’s like the first thing you’re taught getting a journalism degree - let your piece speak for itself, if it doesn't - well, you've already failed and no whining about it…

To be fair, your opinion is basically “It sucks that Saints Row isn’t over the top anymore.”, after a reveal trailer that was, to be frank, over the top.

But why does it have outdo itself? THAT is what makes this take bad. Your take is “it’s either all or nothing”, and life is not that binary. There’s room for shades of gray. Maybe they pull back the throttle from SR4 and go to the sense of humor of 2 or 3. That can still be incredibly fun and silly and take the piss…
