Yeah, it’s really really wild. It was just a norm, especially in PC gaming, to get a significant add-on down the road for 30-40 dollars. Lots of studios made their name working on expansions. And now it’s just gone. Another example of the market often fucking the consumer over. There’s just too many psychopaths out

I think I actually did try to correct him on “millennials crying” as well.    I think that is just wrestling with getting old and not wanting to think that Gen Z or whatever are now in their 20s.  Time just starts blurring when you get older

Between Mando, Bad Batch, and several books and comics, I’m not sure the prequels have done more world building than Disney. I mean, thanks to Mando, I know what a toilet looks like in Star Wars. Thanks to the prequels… I know about space NASCAR and trade federation negotiations… the toilet seems more important :P

Unfortunately because Twitch has no discoverability tools, so users rely on the ability to send their viewers to other streamers. Maybe if they had their act together in that regard they could scale the raid feature down, but that still wouldn’t stop people from organizing the raids outside of the built-in feature.

This is an opinion piece man. In his opinion the prequels suck (they do). "Proper" journalist drop opinion pieces all the time.

We bash the prequels because the prequels were bad.

I expect that, like any competitive reality show, they’ll play up the drama of when a contestant gets eliminated. The fact that this means real people in need could suffer and die and it’s presented as entertainment is what makes it scummy.

Well, no-one expected it except infectious diseases specialists and public health experts based on just about every previous pandemic.

You’re naive as hell if you think he cares about you or anyone “less” than him. It’s part of the “I’m wealthy and only affiliate/befriend other wealthy people” tribalism MO. I’m sure he anticipates colonizing other planets so he and other wealthy people can leave this burning planet.

what? you think he’s leaving to mars for the betterment of mankind?
XD

Ah, Joel Haver videos. Or as my wife refers to them, "Those weird cartoons you laugh at that aren't funny". They're funny to me. And you, apparently.

You dorks still blaming Bernie and/or Jill Stein (and Nader before that) for your party’s repeated failures, despite the mountains of evidence that this absolutely wasn’t the case, is straight up embarrassing.

Republicans have immigrants, Democrats have progressives, both of them scapegoat those groups in their unending quest to push America to the right. After all, that’s what the money wants.

This take is dumb as fuck, and the classic Democrat’s approach to accountability — taking none. It’s just like how Democrats pretend Nader supporters were somehow to blame for Bush winning Florida, when some 300k Democrats straight-up voted for Bush. Bernie supporters voted for Clinton in greater numbers than Hillary

The thing that specifically pissed him off in California was having to abide by covid restrictions, if I recall correctly.

They often say the rights of one cannot violate the rights of another.

This is a man who wants to go to Mars to avoid paying his fair share of maintaining society.

I don’t know much about Musk, but it seems like the “social policy” he is most concerned with is not paying taxes.

All I know is that it’s in really bad form for an OpEd writer to hijack the comments to defend his work when his piece already had the headline. It’s like the first thing you’re taught getting a journalism degree - let your piece speak for itself, if it doesn't - well, you've already failed and no whining about it

To be fair, your opinion is basically “It sucks that Saints Row isn’t over the top anymore.”, after a reveal trailer that was, to be frank, over the top.
