Love how you dismissed every comment on your thread just to get rid of me calling out for defending Ubisoft...

While I fundemantelly disagree with the argument here, I also acknowledge that especially is a very subjective argument.

You are a moron. Games don’t have to be 100 hours or bust.

Exactly. Gameplay time ≠ enjoyment derived

This is a bad take.

means that users can buy a good short game, enjoy it then still get a refund and nobody asks any questions, leaving the creators empty-handed

We can make the phone .001mm thinner!

Holy fuck, you’re the king of the streets? Not sure why the long drive from Whittier to Ventura is in any way relevant, and it kinda makes it seem like you’re full of shit with this weird “I drive the whole county” stuff, but as someone who’s lived their whole life, lives in the neighborhood we’re talking about right

Yeah, you have no clue what you’re talking about. The weird thing is you seem so damn committed to not knowing what you’re talking about. You’re like the Atlas Obscura guy who thought he discovered loquats.

There is a huge space between “spending 3 million dollars on a house” and “living as an itinerant beggar.”

West Hollywood is one of if not the most walkable neighborhood in Los Angeles. It is filled with small businesses and has plenty of options for dining, ranging from inexpensive to high-end fine dining, within blocks of each other. There’s also plenty of residential parking for those who live here.

Wow you sound like a really annoying person in general.

For him, since he’s into dismissing replies now

I don’t understand what the ostensible critics would even want him to do, spend his money renting property to the enrichment of landlords? Give up material possessions to become an itinerant beggar?

This shit is an honest to god personification of the “Yet you participate in society. Curious!” meme.

i mean, technically being a self-made streamer fits a leftist worldview. There is no rule that says you must not buy a nice house. Streamers are the labor force in their line of work, and so have every right to make money from what they do.

I may not even be able to compose this response because I feel so much stupider for having read this story and, especially, the comments.

I know nothing about this guy or the background...however...

The solution is simple: change american political ideology so people of wealth like him have to pay a significant portion of that wealth back into society.
