Interesting. Here we might slow down if there is an actual baby in the road, but other than that speed limits are more like "minimum speed limits."

Hell, if you're on a interstate, you shouldn't even need to use your brakes except to avoid a collision.
Wait, you guys follow speed limits in the UK? I thought that was just a Top Gear joke.
I agree 100%. If everyone did it, it would benefit us all. Too many people just drive like dicks out of spite, and it doesn't even get them there faster.
Panic!
That would make for a very gruesome accident.
The problem is (at least in the US) everyone thinks ANY honk or beep is the equivalent of flipping them off.
The weird thing is that I've always felt controlling a skid comes naturally. Maybe it's because I started with riding motorcycles, but the only time I've had trouble controlling a skid was in my Miata in Autocross.
A coworker of mine raced a similar (but much nicer) Prelude in autocross, and I rode with him a couple times. That thing was insanely fast. Tons of work on the suspension, but the engine didn't have all that much done. But man it could get around some cones quickly...
I dunno, it's just killing women, children, and senior citizens. That's not too bad. That makes me safe, so I can't be be bothered to care.
Why are we rooting for him over all the other little kids who enter the spelling bee?
Oh god I hate that thing. So ugly. Seriously the worst proportions possible.
I don't think you're very clear on what hipsters find cool. Definitely not ANY supercar. They'd be much more likely to swoon over an old Volvo wagon.
The Fit is much cooler than the Civic.
I hated that hamster crap. I had a Soul for about a year, and bought it without knowing about the hamsters (I don't have cable). Everyone who saw the car was like "oh, you have one of those hamster cars!"
Hatchbacks are cool. Everyone knows practicality is cool.
I like it.
Yukons and Tahoes are cool though...
I actually like both the Sonic and Spark (although I haven't been inside them). But, I'm a fan of small hatchbacks and bright colors.
My employer does this. We have three levels (bronze, silver, gold), and you can only get Gold (the best benefits) if you're a non-smoker with a healthy BMI and waist under a certain size.
